Jyothi Surekha Vennam, a 27-year-old Indian archer, will be making her second appearance at the Hyundai Archery World Cup after finishing in third place in Hermosillo last year. Meanwhile, the Austrian shooter won his first Hyundai Archery World Cup match by hitting the eight-centimeter 10-ring in every end except for two shots that missed the four-centimeter X-ring. He expressed his excitement about winning in Mexico after a tough season last year where he didn’t win any tournaments. The competition is currently taking place with three stages instead of four, and the points earned from high finishes in Shanghai have helped archers qualify for the final based on rankings, even if they did not win a stage like Vennam and Wiener. The recurve finals will conclude the competition on Sunday in Shanghai.
