The Kentucky Chamber has published a wrap-up of the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly session. This publication, called “Results for Business,” contains detailed information on bill descriptions, legislative voting records, and more.

Some of the significant accomplishments from this year’s session include the Chamber’s successful advocacy resulting in $1.006 billion in savings for Kentucky employers, amounting to $589 per employee in the Commonwealth. Additionally, lawmakers invested heavily in the state’s future through significant budget priorities such as child care, education, economic development, and infrastructure.

The Chamber also successfully advocated for several key priorities such as enacting voluntary paid leave insurance, removing barriers to opening new child care centers, establishing a data privacy framework, authorizing autonomous vehicles, and expanding the signature bourbon industry. Notably, the General Assembly did not pass new sales taxes on business purchases, a top priority of the Chamber in 2024.
