Morristown and Chilton Medical Centers Top Hospital Rankings for 2021 by Jersey’s Best

Two Atlantic Health hospitals, Morristown and Chilton, come out on top in Jersey’s Best rankings

In the latest hospital rankings by Jersey’s Best, Morristown Medical Center and Chilton Medical Center were named the top hospitals in their respective categories. These rankings, compiled by Castle Connolly, ranked hospitals based on their size: those with 350 beds or more, and those with fewer than 350 beds. Morristown Medical Center claimed the top spot in the 350+ category for the sixth time in seven years, while Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains secured the top spot in the up to 350 category for the ninth consecutive year.

Morristown Medical Center and Chilton Medical Center were not the only winners of this year’s rankings. In the category of hospitals with 350 beds or more, the top 10 hospitals included Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Englewood Medical Center, Valley Hospital, Hackensack University Medical Center, RWJ University Hospital, CentraState Medical Center, Holy Name Medical Center, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, and Cooper University Hospital. In contrast to Morristown’s successive wins over recent years in this category; these ten hospitals showcased impressive performances as well.

In another category that was looked at by Castle Connolly which is hospitals with fewer than 350 beds- The top 10 hospitals were Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains which secured its ninth consecutive win; Hudson Regional Hospital Newton-Medical center Goryeb Children’s Hospital; Hackettstown-Medical center; Rutgers Cancer Institute Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and Clara Maass-Medical center – West Hudson division also made it to the list.
