OBM Construction: Thriving Despite the Housing Sector Struggles with Acquisition and Expansion

Loiret’s OBM Construction is thriving with two years of orders in advance, unaffected by the crisis.

OBM Construction, a wooden frame construction specialist based in Chevilly, has been thriving despite the struggles of the housing sector. The company recently acquired Poulingue, a Norman competitor in receivership, which will allow it to diversify its markets and expand its operations. While Poulingue may have to reduce its workforce, OBM Construction’s activity is expected to be revived through synergies with its new acquisition.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary last year, OBM Construction has been focused on school equipment and working with communities investing in this sector. The company benefits from the growing popularity of wooden construction, which reduces the carbon impact of buildings. With almost two years of order books ahead, OBM Construction is well positioned in the market.

OBM Construction operates as a general contractor and produces wooden frame walls and metal frames in its workshops. The acquisition of Poulingue allows the company to expand into rehabilitation projects and double in size, making it a major player in the wood construction sector.

With the takeover, OBM Construction’s turnover is expected to increase significantly in the coming years. The company’s goal is to reach 100 million euros by 2026, solidifying its position as a leading independent player in wooden construction.
