Rat and Roach Infestations Lead to Temporary Closures of Restaurants in Orange County

Health Inspectors Close Several Orange County Restaurants (April 18-25) – Orange County Register

In recent weeks, health inspectors in Orange County have ordered the closure of several restaurants and food vendors due to health violations. One of these establishments was Pad Thai located at 12620 Westminster Ave., Suite A in Santa Ana, which was closed on April 24 due to a rodent infestation. However, the restaurant was able to reopen on April 25 after taking steps to address the issue.

Another restaurant that faced closure was Pepz Pizza & Eatery at 646 S. Brookhurst St. in Anaheim, which was shut down on April 24 due to a cockroach infestation. Surprisingly, the restaurant was allowed to reopen on the same day after taking necessary actions to eliminate the infestation.

Nutricion Poderosa at 932 S. Euclid St. in Anaheim was also closed on April 17 due to a cockroach infestation. However, it was permitted to reopen on April 19 after resolving the problem. These closures and reopenings are tracked weekly by the OC Health Care Agency to ensure the safety and well-being of patrons. Status updates can be found in next week’s list, sourced from the OC Health Care Agency database.
