Rising Golf Star Ludvig Åberg Withdraws from Wells Fargo Championship Due to Knee Injury

Ludvig Åberg pulls out of Wells Fargo due to knee injury

Peter Malnati has been invited to play in the Wells Fargo Championship after Ludvig Åberg withdrew from the tournament due to a knee injury. Åberg, currently ranked sixth in the world, had not played since finishing as the runner-up at the Masters and was looking forward to competing at Quail Hollow Club. However, after consulting with his doctors, he decided that he needed to rest his knee and withdrew from the event.

The 24-year-old Swede is known for his impressive play on the course and has quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the top players in golf. His first career major start ended in an impressive second-place finish at Augusta National, followed by a T-10 finish at the RBC Heritage. While disappointed about missing out on playing in the Wells Fargo Championship, Åberg is focusing on recovering from his knee injury and preparing for his next tournament – the PGA Championship.
