The MotoGP World Championship standings were updated after the Jerez Sprint Race, with 8-second post-race penalties awarded to several riders. Fabio Quartararo, Raul Fernandez, Fabio di Giannantonio, Jack Miller, and Alex Rins all received penalties for low tire pressure.
The new standings showed a shakeup in the championship, with Jorge Martin leading the way with 92 points. Pedro Acosta moved up to second place with 63 points, while Enea Bastianini dropped to third with 59 points. Maverick Viñales and Francesco Bagnaia remained in fourth and fifth place with 56 and 50 points respectively.
Brad Binder slipped to sixth place with 49 points, while Marc Marquez and Aleix Espargaro remained in seventh and eighth place with 40 and 39 points respectively. Fabio di Giannantonio moved up to ninth place with 25 points, while Fabio Quartararo climbed to tenth with 24 points.
