Spring Sports Spotlight: Memphis High School Standout Players Shine in Baseball and Softball

Top Performers of Week 10 in Memphis Area High School Spring Sports

This week, we have some standout performers from the Memphis area high school spring sports scene. In baseball, Caleb Lassiter of Briarcrest was a standout player in their 3-2 Game 1 win over CBHS. He got the save in that game and also got another save in their 4-3 win in Game 2. Aidan McCrady was the winning pitcher for CBHS and Ty Holman allowed only two hits in six innings. Hank Stalnaker had two hits for CBHS.

In softball, Breleigh Bunker of Arlington had a big game, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 10-5 victory over Collierville. Brittanie Layton was the winning pitcher for Arlington and Grace Pentecost also had a big game, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Aliya Garcia of Brighton had two hits in a 3-2 win over Munford, while Laney Lawson pitched a complete game. Adin Shelton of Brighton hit a home run and Bradleigh Biggs of ECS was 2-for-4 with three runs scored in a 16-6 win over Trinity Christian Academy. Robin Daughhetee had four RBIs, Julianna Lewis had a home run, Natalie Regel went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Neely Wilder was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and went 4-for-4 with two RBIs.
