Tinder’s ‘Share My Date’ Feature Takes Online Dating Safety to New Heights

Tinder introduces Share My Date: A new feature for secure dating

Tinder, a leading dating app, is set to launch a new feature that will make the dating experience more enjoyable and safe for its users. The new feature, called “Share My Date,” will allow users to easily share details about their upcoming dates with friends and family through the app. This tool came about after noticing that many young people under 30 often discuss their date plans with their close circle of friends. In fact, internal research conducted by the app found that 18% of users even share this information with their mothers.

The goal of this new feature is to streamline the process of sharing date information, giving users more time to focus on other aspects of preparing for a date, like picking an outfit and thinking of conversation topics. With “Share My Date,” users can share details such as date, time, location, and a photo of their date partner through a simple link. Users have control over who they share this information with and can create an unlimited number of date plans, scheduled up to 30 days in advance. Additionally, users can easily update details in case of last-minute changes.

Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Hobley emphasized the importance of making the dating experience more respectful for all users. She said: “We want to ensure that our users feel safe and respected on every single one of their dates.” With “Share My Date,” Tinder is taking steps towards making this goal a reality.

This feature will be available in several countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, Ireland, Germany
