Trauma-Focused Therapy and Innovative Concrete Repair: Enhancing the Skills of Bismarck’s Workforce for a Stronger Economy

A mental health clinic called Nexus-PATH Family Healing has recently opened its doors in Bismarck. The clinic, located at 600 S. Second St., Suite 220, is staffed by therapist Tara Helfrich. Helfrich, a Mandan native, obtained her undergraduate social work degree from North Dakota State University and Minot State University, and her Master of Social Work degree from Western New Mexico University. She specializes in trauma-focused therapy and holds certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Meanwhile, Vector Construction has been recognized for its concrete repair work on the Bismarck Parkade Ramp. The company received a Gold Star in the Innovation Category of the Excellence in Concrete Award program by the North Dakota Ready Mix & Concrete Products Association. Vector Construction collaborated with Walker Consultants to develop the repair solution, which was completed in August 2023. The project involved repairing concrete radius beams on three levels of the spiral exit ramp and was the only Bismarck location to win one of the 14 category awards from the association.
