Twitter introduces new feature to control blocking policy: View responses from previously blocked accounts.

Twitter will no longer hide responses from blocked accounts

Twitter is making changes to its account blocking policy, giving users the ability to view responses from previously blocked accounts. Blocking accounts on Twitter has long been a way for users to control their interactions with others and limit unwanted contact, views, and follows.

Previously, when a user blocked another account, the blocked account could still respond to the user’s posts, but the user couldn’t see those responses. Now, Twitter has updated this feature so that users can view responses to their posts from accounts they have blocked. This change aims to give users more control over their experience while maintaining public visibility of posts.

It’s worth noting that Twitter owner Elon Musk had previously expressed his dislike for the blocking feature and announced plans to remove it entirely except for direct messages. However, despite this, the updated blocking feature now allows users to view responses from previously blocked accounts. The Twitter Engineering account emphasized the importance of allowing users to control their experience while still having access to the public forum.
