This model is now powering news summaries that are trending on the platform and exclusively available to subscribers of the Premium version in the ‘Explore’ section. Initially intended only for Premium+ subscribers, Grok is now available to all Premium users.
The company has also updated Grok with new functionality that allows it to process visual information like documents, diagrams, tables, and screenshots. This update has been made possible through Grok-1.5. In addition to this feature, X has launched the Stories feature on its platform, offering AI-powered summaries of trending news to Premium subscribers. This feature can be accessed through the ‘Explore’ tab under the section ‘For you’ on both the web version and iOS. There is no confirmation yet if it will be available on Android devices as well.
However, it’s worth noting that Grok may make errors while creating content for Stories as they can evolve over time. Users are encouraged to verify the results provided by Grok. Moreover, this new feature resembles Moments, an older Twitter option that highlighted important news posts but was discontinued in 2022 according to reports from specialized media outlets.
