Unstoppable Jiaman: A Talented Archer on the Path to Olympic Glory

Jiaman is a talented archer who aims to finish in the top three at international competitions, including the World Cup. In 2023, she participated in two events on the circuit in Medellin and Paris and earned silver and bronze in team events. At the Asian Games, she won team silver and individual bronze. Despite China narrowly missing out on Olympic team qualification, Jiaman showed improvement in each event throughout the season. She is now focused on daily training to enhance all aspects of her game.

Jiaman’s commitment to her sport is matched only by the dedication of national coach Kwon Yonghak, who has been coaching in Chinese provinces for 16 years. Originally from Korea, Kwon has seen Jiaman’s progression since her teenage years and believes she is capable of recreating her success as a former Youth Olympic Champion. During Chinese trials, Jiaman matched the qualifying world record of 692 points, showcasing her skill and determination.

Kwon describes Jiaman as someone who will achieve any goal that is set for her. He acknowledges her potential and is confident that with continued training and dedication, Jiaman will continue to improve and achieve her target of a top-three finish at international competitions. Jiaman’s formidable talent on the international stage makes her a force to be reckoned with as she strives for excellence in archery.
