Innovative Packaging Solution Wins Chemistry Australia Industry Award for Recycled Milk Bottles

Pact Group secures esteemed Circular Economy Award

Pact has been recognized for their innovative approach to recycling used milk bottles at this year’s Chemistry Australia Industry Awards. The company was awarded the Circular Economy Award for their plan to transform half a billion used milk bottles into new packaging annually.

The recycled resin will be processed at the Pact-operated Circular Plastics Australia (CPA) mixed plastics recycling plant in Laverton, Melbourne. The facility, a joint venture with Cleanaway Waste Management, opened earlier this year and has the capacity to recycle up to 20,000 tonnes of used high density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) packaging per year, equivalent to about half a billion 2L milk bottles.

Congratulations to the team at the CPA recycling plant and all the packaging manufacturing teams involved in producing milk bottles at Pact’s facilities across Australia. Sales Manager Geoff Harvey accepted the award on behalf of Pact, and the sales team and customers celebrated the achievement. Release ID: 89129179.
