MilliporeSigma’s Curiosity Cube: Spreading STEM Education and Inspiring Future Innovators with a Sustainable Twist

Local Students Given Hands-On Science Experience Through Curiosity Cube

MilliporeSigma’s Curiosity Cube is an innovative mobile science lab that travels the country, bringing hands-on STEM education to students. This year, the container has been retrofitted with new equipment and technology to provide interactive experiments focused on sustainability. The Curiosity Cube is currently on its sixth annual North American tour and will be making stops in various locations in State College and Bellefonte.

The mobile science lab will be hosting school-only events in local school districts, as well as public events at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, the Bellefonte Youth Center, Faith United Methodist Church, and Discovery Space. The goal of the Curiosity Cube is to increase access to hands-on STEM education and inspire curiosity among students.

Through three interactive experiments led by MilliporeSigma scientists, students will have the opportunity to use scientific tools such as modular electronics and digital microscopes to learn about sustainability. By showcasing the practical applications of science and technology, the Curiosity Cube aims to motivate students to consider careers in STEM fields. MilliporeSigma believes that early exposure to STEM education can pave the way for future innovation and encourage students to pursue careers in scientific fields. With a focus on sparking scientific curiosity and passion, the company hopes to empower young minds and build confidence in their ability to succeed in STEM careers.
